Remove Windows Hello PIN on Windows 10: Instructions
To remove your Windows Hello PIN on Windows 10, follow these steps:
- Open your computer’s Start menu and go to Settings. These can be recognized by the gear icon.
- Within the settings navigate to the accounts. Select them to find the login options in the next menu.
- Within the login options, look for the Windows Hello PIN item. Click on it and then you will have the option to remove the PIN.
- After that, you need to enter your Windows password to complete the PIN removal. After that, you no longer need to enter the PIN to log in.
Delete Windows Hello PIN on Win 11
If you are using Windows 11, PIN deactivation looks similar:
- You can also find the option in the login options within accounts. You access the settings from the Start menu, just like in Windows 10.
- Within the login options, select the PIN (Windows Hello) option. Within this submenu, look for Remove this login option.
- Confirm the selection with Remove and finally enter your Windows password. As with Windows 10, PIN removal does not require a system restart.
