Windows 10 offers a great way to open multiple windows on one screen at the same time with split screen. You can decide for yourself whether you want to open one, two, three or four windows at the same time.
Open two windows side by side with Windows 10 split screen
With a simple keyboard shortcut, you can easily open two windows side by side.
- Once you’ve opened an application, click the keyboard shortcut Windows + an arrow key (left or right).
- The arrow key you press moves the current window to the selected location.
- For example, if you press the left arrow key, the open window moves to the left and you can see the other possible applications on the right side of the screen.
- Click on an application to open it on the right side of the screen.
Open and move several windows at the same time
Instead of two windows, you can also open three or four windows at the same time on one screen.
- If you have two windows open next to each other, click on one of the applications.
- If you now select the Windows + arrow key (up or down) key combination again, another slot will appear above or below your current window.
- You can do this on both sides of your screen.
- In total, you can open up to 4 windows at the same time.
- You can also move individual windows by pressing the key combination again.
