Windows 10 Black Screen with Mouse Pointer
If the screen is black, there is usually no problem with the operating system. In this case, you have two options for troubleshooting.
– First try to see if you can solve the problem by restarting the graphics driver.
To do this, press the [Windows] + [Ctrl] + [Shift] keys simultaneously.
– Then additionally press the [B] key with the other hand.
– This key combination will restart the graphics driver and the screen should appear as usual.
– If this procedure does not solve the problem, press the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] and then press “Cancel”.
No mouse pointer on the black screen
If there is no mouse pointer on the black screen, the problem is more likely in the operating system, i.e. Windows 10.
– In this case, restart your computer in safe mode
– Then check your system for any errors.
– By the way, the black screen without a mouse pointer can also be the result of the PC overheating.
– In this case, turn off the computer and wait until it cools down.
