Alternatively to “WhatsApp Web”, you can download “WhatsApp Desktop” as software for Windows & Mac. If you are using a very old computer with a very old operating system, the software may no longer be supported, but WhatsApp Web runs in the browser on all devices.
– First call up the WhatsApp Web website, web.whatsapp.com, on the PC or tablet.
– Start WhatsApp and go to the “Settings” at the bottom of the “WhatsApp Web” section on iOS. On Android, you will find the option of the same name at the top right of the menu.
– Note: If you have used WhatsApp Web before, the option you are looking for may be called “Linked devices” instead of “WhatsApp Web”.
– If necessary, tap on the button “Add device” or “Scan QR code”. The QR scanner will now open.
– Now hold the smartphone camera in front of the PC screen and wait until the QR code has been scanned.
– You will then be logged into WhatsApp on your computer or tablet. Now you can use WhatsApp on your PC or tablet.

WhatsApp Web can be used on the computer you set it up on from now on without having to log in again. Just open the web page and you will be logged in automatically.
– When using WhatsApp Web, your smartphone always needs an active internet connection.
– All messages are sent unnoticed from the PC to the mobile phone and sent from there as usual.
– Note: If you click on the “Stay logged in” button before logging in, a later login is no longer necessary. On public computers, you should deactivate the option beforehand or remember to log out.
