MSI Super Charger is pre-installed on many computers, but often causes problems under Windows. The utility was developed for a very specific purpose.
The MSI Super Charger programme originates from Taiwan
The Asian software measures the current in the computer and is supposed to ensure the correct amperage and voltage for devices that are charged via USB. The current is indicated on the power supply in amperes, the voltage in volts.
- Whether the MSI Super Charger process is active can be checked via the Windows Task Manager. You can call this up with the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Ent], pressing all three keys at the same time.
- Connect a device to the USB charging port of your computer, MSI Super Charger will analyse the power demand and intervene in the charging circuit.
- The developers’ goal is to ensure that each connected electrical device is supplied with exactly the electrical impulses it needs for battery-friendly charging.
- Smartphones require a lower voltage than tablet PCs or portable consoles, and digital cameras, MP3 players and many other small electrical devices can also be conveniently charged via the USB port on your computer.
- Opinions differ as to whether MSI Super Charger is needed at all to quickly charge connected USB devices or not. It is not a Microsoft utility for Windows.
- If the running process of MSI Super Charger causes system failures or other disruptions in the system, you can simply disable it and charge your devices via USB as usual.
