If the TV does not find any digital channels, you can try a manual search. A restart can also help.
Television does not find any digital channels – what to do?
If the TV does not find any digital channels, you can try various things.
- Try restarting the set. Also, make sure all the cables are plugged in properly and have no kinks.
- The correct connection of the receiver should also be checked. In the case of a cable connection, check the socket instead.
- You can also try to reset the TV or the receiver. Note, however, that this will reset all the presets.
- If this does not help, contacting the network operator may help. Depending on the way you receive the TV signal, there may also be interference here.
Tips for channel search: Manual search
How the TV searches for channels may depend on the manufacturer. For example, some sets require a pin that you created during the initial installation. If you now perform a channel search, this code is required.
- The manual scan is often listed directly below the automatic scan. Unlike the auto version, here you go through each frequency individually, for which the arrow keys on the remote control are important.
- Generally, a station search can be carried out via most menus. On a Telefunken unit, for example, the item can be found under Installation.
- Samsung’s channel scan can be found under Channel reception.
- If you have a satellite dish, also make sure that the correct orientation is set. Otherwise, the unit will not be able to find the correct channels.
