• In the summer of 2003, the first film called Pirates of the Caribbean was released in cinemas. The plot takes place around the 18th century. Captain Jack Sparrow loses his ship in a mutiny. He is abandoned on an island where a cursed treasure lies buried

• A part of the treasure has landed with William Turner, played by Orlando Bloom. An exciting hunt and numerous battles for ships, the treasure and undead pirates begin. Johnny Depp is nominated for an Oscar for his acting performance in this film.

• Around three years later, many fans are delighted: in summer 2006, the second part of the Pirates of the Caribbean – Pirates of the Caribbean 2 series is released in cinemas.

• In order to get his beloved ship, the Black Pearl, back, the pirate Jack Sparrow has sold his soul. The day of reckoning has come and he turns to Will and his girlfriend Elizabeth. But the two of them can only help so much, as they have their own problems. They are arrested at their own wedding, shortly before the ceremony

• In 2007, the third part called Pirates of the Carribean – At World’s End is released. Once again, everything revolves around Captain Jack Sparrow, who has just been captured. His friends Will and Elizabeth finally manage to free him

• In 2011, the fourth part of the series is released: Pirates of the Carribean – Stranger Tides. Jack Sparrow remains in his leading role, while other actors are no longer to be seen. Penélope Cruz now takes on one of the main roles as Angelica.

• The plot of this movie revolves around love and the source of eternal youth. Fans of battles and fights will also get their money’s worth with this movie. Incidentally, this movie is one of the most expensive of all time!
