Disney Plus offers movies for the whole family at Christmas time. Watching a classic movie with the family is a real Christmas tradition for many. These Christmas movies are available from the streaming provider:
- Kevin – Home Alone (1990): A real Christmas classic is Kevin – Home Alone. Here, little Kevin is forgotten at home while his family celebrates Christmas in France. In this comedy, Kevin then has to defend his family home against two burglars
- The Miracle of Manhattan (1994): In this family movie, department store Santa Claus Kriss Kringle claims to be the only true Santa Claus. All the children of New York, except little Susan, believe him. Now he wants to prove her wrong
- Santa Clause (1994): Divorced father Scott has to spontaneously become Santa Claus for his son and the other children. This family film focuses on the funny adventure of suddenly becoming Santa Claus.
- Disney’s Christmas Story (2009): The miserly businessman Scrooge loathes Christmas. When he encounters three ghosts over the Christmas holidays, he begins to make up for his years of atrocities with good deeds.
New Christmas movies on Disney Plus
They may not be classics yet, but even new movies can warm the heart at Christmas.
- The 12 Christmas Dates (2012): In this romantic comedy, Kate, who is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend, meets Miles on a blind date. It takes her 12 dates on Christmas Eve before she realizes her love for him.
- The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018): This reinterpretation of the classic “The Nutcracker” exudes magic and adventure. Young Clara is whisked away to a magical world full of gingerbread soldiers and must restore harmony.
- Noelle (2019): After Santa’s death, his son Nick is supposed to take over his duties. However, he is overwhelmed by this important role, which is why his sister Noelle has to save Christmas.
