Deleting WhatsApp stickers on Android
WhatsApp is an instant messenger that you can use to send and receive messages. Various emojis help you to add small symbols to your text messages. In addition to emojis, there are also stickers that you can send via Whatsapp.
- Open the WhatsApp app first if you want to delete a sticker. Tap on any chat history with another person or in a group and open the text field.
- Now tap on the smiley icon and then open the stickers. To delete the stickers from the favorites, press and hold the selected sticker for a few seconds and then select the “Remove” option.
- Further steps are necessary to permanently delete a sticker. There is an icon on the right-hand side of the stickers which you can use to view all stickers and your personal stickers. To remove your personal stickers, open the “My stickers” option
- In this area you can see your personally created or downloaded stickers. There is a delete symbol next to the sticker sets. If you tap on this icon, the option “Remove sticker?” will appear. Select “Remove” to delete the sticker.
How to delete the WhatsApp sticker on iOS
The WhatsApp app can be used not only on Android mobile devices, but also on mobile devices with iOS. You can also delete the stickers on these devices with just a few taps.
- To remove stickers, first open the WhatsApp app on your mobile device. Now select a group or individual chat and tap on the text field. If you then tap on the smiley icon and call up the stickers, you can delete the selected stickers here
- If you want to remove a sticker from the favorites bar, you can do this in a few simple steps. Press and hold the selected sticker for a few seconds and then select the “Remove from favorites” option. The sticker will then not be deleted, but will no longer be listed in the “Recent” category
- Further steps are required to permanently delete a sticker. To do this, tap on the icon to the right of the stickers to call up all available stickers. Select the “My stickers” option and tap the trash can icon. Select the “Delete” option to permanently remove the stickers
