It’s important to regularly update your VLC Player. Not only will you get new features, but you’ll also close security gaps.
VLC updates – autoupdate does the work for you
It only takes a few clicks to update your VLC.
Open the VLC media player and click on “Help” in the top horizontal bar.
Select “Check for updates…” to open a window that searches for the latest version. If a new version is found, click “Yes” to download the update.
Once the download is complete, you will be asked if you want to install the patch. Confirm by clicking “Install”.
To keep your previous settings, select “Upgrade VLC using previous settings”. Now just click through the setup routine and your VLC player is up to date.
