If you want to activate plug-ins in Opera, you can do this via the “Extensions” menu It is also possible to deactivate add-ons at this point.
Activate plug-ins in Opera: Find and install extensions
First open the Opera browser.
- Click on the Opera icon in the top left-hand corner of the browser window
- Select “Extensions” ☻ “Get extensions” from the menu
- Browse the list of available extensions and select the desired plugin.
- Click on the “Add to Opera” button on the page of the selected add-on. The plugin will now be installed automatically and in most cases activated directly.
Installed extensions in Opera: Deactivate or delete add-ons
To manage installed add-ons, go back to the Opera icon in the open browser and select “Extensions”. Here you will find an overview of all installed plug-ins. You can use the sliders to activate or deactivate individual extensions
- If you want to remove an add-on, click on the “Uninstall” button next to the desired extension.
- Good to know: After updates, Opera may deactivate or delete some plugins without warning. If you notice that an extension is missing, check the list of installed extensions.
