If your Instagram comments aren’t showing up, it may be because the platform has categorized the messages as spam. However, there are several reasons why this might be happening.
Instagram comments not showing up: solutions
If you can’t see the comments you post on Instagram, there are a number of reasons why. The following solutions will help you to fix the problem:
- Check your internet connection: If you have unstable Wi-Fi or have already used up your data volume, you may experience problems with reloading current comments.
- Check your phone for ad blockers: Ad blockers or antivirus scanners on your smartphone may be the reason why comments are missing on Instagram. Try turning them off.
- Update the Instagram app: Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) to check for updates and update the app.
- Delete and reinstall the app: Try deleting the Instagram app from your device and downloading it again. This may fix any bugs that are present. Technical errors can often be a reason for comments not appearing on Instagram.
- Clear cache: Go to your device’s settings and look for the “Apps” or “Application Manager” section. Select Instagram and tap “Clear Cache”. This will delete temporary files that may be causing the problem.
Instagram comments: restrictions and filters
But not only technical problems can be responsible for the comments not being displayed.
- Revise comments: It is possible that your comment has been classified as spam by Instagram. In this case, it is helpful to read the comment again and possibly modify it.
- Spam filter: Instagram uses filters to delete comments from bots. If some comments under your post are not displayed, they may fall into the spam category.
- Check your comments settings: Go to your profile and tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines). Select “Comments”. Check whether you have restricted comments under “Who can comment”.
- Report the problem to Instagram: If none of the above solutions work, you can report the problem directly to Instagram. Go to the app’s settings and select “Help” or “Support”. Describe the problem and send a request to the Instagram support team.
