You can also scan documents and your papers with your Epson printer if a scanner is built into the model, such as the Epson Expression Home XP-2205.

• Start the printer and make sure it is properly connected to the PC. Also make sure that the latest driver software is installed.

• Place the document or photo you want to scan. Make sure it is properly aligned and has no wrinkles or dirt. Otherwise, clean the scanner glass.

• Open the “Epson Scan 2” program. This is included with your printer’s driver installation. Select the settings you want, such as the scan resolution, file type, and location.

• Select the “Full Auto Scan” mode above to get the best possible quality.

• Start the scan by clicking on the “Scan” button. The arrow next to it will take you to the scan settings. There you can specify, for example, where and under which file format the scan should be saved.

• Alternatively, click the “Scan” or “Start Scan” button to start scanning. The printer will scan the document or image and save it to your computer.

• Review the scanned document or image on your computer. You can edit, save or print it as you wish.

The three most common Epson printer error codes

If the printhead is jammed, it may be necessary to carefully clean or replace it.

• Error code 0xea: This error code usually occurs when there is a paper jam in the printer. To clear this problem, it is recommended that you turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and carefully remove the paper. Make sure that no paper is stuck inside the printer and check the paper feed mechanisms for possible blockages.
