With ChatGPT’s “Sora” program, you can create and edit short videos. However, the software is not available in Germany and the EU.
ChatGPT: This is how you can create videos with the AI
With “Sora”, OpenAI has developed a tool that allows you to generate videos. It is as easy to use as ChatGPT.
- First, you need to sign up for and log in to Sora. Your OpenAI account is sufficient to log in.
- Then click on “Create New Project” to start the video.
- Enter the name of the video. Also specify the format in which you want the artificial intelligence to create your video.
- Now it’s time to prompt. Describe in detail what you want your video to look like and what you want it to contain. You can also specify special camera work. If you have a scene in mind, try to describe it as specifically as possible. Also pay attention to details such as camera angle, speed and lighting.
- Finally, select a style and the duration of the video. Optionally, you can also add audio files.
- After Sora has created your video, you can still edit it in the integrated editing tool and customize it to your liking. If you are satisfied, you can download it as an MP4 or MOV file.
How to use the ChatCPTs video tool
Sora is not released in Germany and the EU. The main reasons for this are concerns about existing data protection laws and copyrights.
- If you still want to use Sora, you will need to use a VPN. Set your location to a country where Sora is available and you can use the OpenAI video generator.
- To use Sora, you need a ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription. With the ChatGPT Plus subscription, you can create videos with a resolution of 720p. The clips that can be generated last a maximum of five seconds.
- After downloading, the videos are watermarked. With the Pro version, you can create videos in 1080p and up to 20 seconds long. The number of videos you can generate is also significantly higher with the Pro subscription.
- While the ChatGPT Plus subscription costs 20 euros, the Pro subscription costs 200 euros. However, OpenAI is planning a multi-level subscription model with different options ranging from 20 to 200 euros.
