New mobile phone: How to transfer your BeReal account

If you have a new mobile phone but still have the old phone number, it is no problem to transfer your BeReal account. Proceed as follows:

  • First install the app on your new smartphone.
  • Then you log in with the data you used when you created your account. The phone number is especially important here, as it is linked to the account.
  • In the next step, you will receive an SMS with a code that is used for verification. Type this into the field provided when you register.
  • Now you are logged in to your BeReal account and can use all functions as usual.

BeReal transfer to new number: How to do it

Linking BeReal to a new number is a little more complicated. If you still have access to the old number, you can proceed as described above. If this is not the case, you will need to contact support.

  • To do this, first open the contact form in the app. To do this, call up your profile and then click on the three dots in the top right corner.
  • Then click on “Help” and then on “Contact us”. Then write a message asking us to link your account to a new number.
  • In the message, be sure to mention your user name and date of birth in addition to the old and new numbers. Also remember to include the German country code +49.
  • Once you have sent the message, Customer Service will process your enquiry. If necessary, they will have further questions to check your identity.
