With Microsoft Visio, you can create your own shapes with or from rectangles, ellipses or arcs. Freehand and pencil shapes are also possible. These shapes can in turn be mirrored.

  • First open your drawing in Visio.
  • Then click on the shape that you want to mirror.
  • Draw a rectangular selection area around the shape you want to mirror.
  • Hold down the SHIFT key and then click on all the shapes that you want to mirror.
  • Finally, select “Start” and then the “Position” option in the “Arrange” group.Now click on “Rotate shapes” and finally “Flip vertically” or “Flip horizontally”.

Draw a shape in Visio

You can use Microsoft Visio to draw a shape in the desired size. This also works very simply.

  • In the “Start” tab, in the “Extras” group, click on the arrow next to “Rectangle”.
  • Select the desired shape such as rectangle, ellipse or user-defined.
  • Then drag the shape to draw it on the drawing sheet in the desired size. Then click on the “Pointer” tool in the “Extras” group. This takes you back to the regular editing mode:
