UPS does not ring – how to act correctly
In principle, you should be able to prove that the delivery person did not ring the doorbell when you make a complaint. It is important that your name is visible on the doorbell sign. If the doorbell was still not rung, make a note of the time of the alleged delivery attempt if possible. Together with the consignment number of the parcel, contact UPS customer service.
- You can reach customer service by calling 069 – 66 40 50 60. The employees are available Monday to Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
- To be connected to a customer advisor more quickly, say “More options” in the voice menu.
- Alternatively, write an e-mail to CustomerServiceDEDE@ups.com. Be sure to include your UPS customer number or the shipment number in the subject line. Send a separate e-mail for each problem. According to the website, you will receive a reply within 24 hours
- UPS can also be reached via Facebook and X. The shipping service provider also offers help via a virtual assistant on its homepage.
- Explain the situation and ask for a new delivery. If UPS does not resolve your problem satisfactorily, you can use the official complaints portal of the consumer advice center.
- Tip: If you have delivery problems, also contact the sender of the parcel. Large mail order companies in particular can often do more than you can in a phone call with the parcel service.
