DHL returns: How returns work with DHL - Practical Tips

DHL returns: How returns work with DHL

by Pramith

You can send a return via DHL. The parcel carrier offers various options for this. Even if you don’t have a printer available to print out the return label, DHL has a solution for this.

Sending returns with DHL – these options are available

DHL is a parcel delivery company that you can also use to send your returns. In principle, you have at least a fourteen-day right of return when you buy a product online. The parcel delivery company DHL has come up with a few ideas to make returning your parcel as pleasant as possible.

  • Often online shops, such as Amazon, send you a return label or return slip when you return your order. Simply print out the return label and attach it to the DHL package so that it is clearly visible.
  • The DHL mobile returns service is particularly practical. If you are one of the fans of a paperless office and no longer have your own printer, you have a small problem. In this case, DHL has a really good solution for you. Instead of the return label, have your online retailer send you a QR code.
  • Save this QR code, which DHL calls a mobile return, on your smartphone or tablet. Then take the parcel to a DHL acceptance point. The staff there can read the QR code. The return label will then be printed and stuck on the parcel.
  • Alternatively, you also have the option with DHL of making the return particularly convenient by having the parcel collected by the parcel service. In this case, you don’t necessarily need a printer either, as the DHL delivery person can also read out the QR code.

DHL Returns – these are the places where you can drop off your parcel

The parcel shipper DHL says it has around 34,000 drop-off points, so there’s a way to get rid of your parcel quickly even in smaller towns.

  • In addition to the post offices, various shops also offer a postal service. This includes accepting DHL parcels and mobile returns, i.e. printing out the return labels.
  • If you would like to have the parcel collected from an agreed location, this is certainly possible, but then you must affix the return label to the parcel yourself.
  • The DHL pick-up service is very convenient, but like almost everything that makes our lives easier, it costs extra. As a rule, you have to reckon with three euros.
