Beach waves can also be achieved with a straightening iron. Depending on the length of your hair, you will have to proceed slightly differently to achieve a light wavy hairstyle. In this article, we will explain to you all the things you need to pay attention to.
Beach Waves with Straightener: Short hair
If you have a bob or simply short hair, you can also achieve beach waves with a straightening iron.
- For short hair, it’s best to use a wide straightening iron. First comb your hair well and apply heat protection. First, tie the front hair into a braid. Start with the back hair.
- Take a strand and pinch it at the roots with the straightening iron. Turn it slightly outwards and pull it through the hair. If you have lost a few strands, start again.
- Repeat with all your hair. Turn the straightener in different directions. This will give you a natural look.
- But be careful: Always keep the ends of your hair straight. Do not twist them in. That looks unnatural. With beach waves, however, naturalness counts. Your waves should look unwanted.
- Spray your hair with a little salt spray or a hairspray afterwards to make them last as long as possible. Especially spray your hairline with it.
Beach Waves for Medium Length Hair
For beach waves to work on medium-length hair, it’s best to divide your hair into four sections beforehand. Work each section in turn. First part your hair in the middle and divide each side into two sections. Spray your hair with heat protection beforehand.
- Take a strand of hair and clamp it in the straightener.
- Turn the straightening iron once around its own axis.
- Pull the straightening iron down from the hairline, keeping it constantly turned at the same angle. Repeat the same with each strand.
- Let your curls cool. Then curl the hair lightly with your fingertips.
