It can happen that the touchscreen on the iPhone no longer responds. The problem can usually be solved very easily. We show you what you can do if the iPhone no longer responds.
iPhone touch screen not responding
Take the following steps one by one to fix the problem:
- Make sure the screen is not too dirty. Even a protective film can reduce the sensitivity of the screen. Clean the screen with a slightly damp cloth.
- Next, try restarting your iPhone.
- If you cannot turn off your iPhone, you can force a restart. No data will be lost. Once the iPhone is restarted, the touch screen should work again.
- If the touchscreen still does not work, you can try to reset your iPhone. Before doing so, however, make sure that you have a backup of your phone that is as up-to-date as possible and that you can access.
- If none of the tips help, there is probably a defect in the hardware. Contact Apple Support if you are still under warranty. Otherwise, you can have your iPhone repaired at a repair shop.
