iPhone 16 (Pro): Release date and price

The iPhone 16 Pro will be available in stores towards the end of September. As is usual with new iPhone models, the cost is in the upper price segment compared to other smartphones.

• Release date: The iPhone 16 Pro can be pre-ordered from September 13, 2024 at 2 pm. It will be available from 20.9.2024.

• Price: According to Apple, you can purchase an iPhone 16 Pro from a price of 1,199 euros. This applies to a model with 128 GB of storage space. For an iPhone 16 Pro with 256 GB, the price is 1,329 euros, for 512 GB 1,579 euros and for 1 TB 1,829 euros.

• Scope of delivery: In addition to the device, the scope of delivery includes a USB-C charging cable that supports fast charging. It is compatible with USB-C power adapters and computer ports. However, a power adapter or EarPods are not included in the scope of delivery.

• Cost comparison with iPhone Pro Max: The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch (approx. 16 cm) display. The iPhone 16 Pro Max offers a 6.9-inch display for a price starting at €1,449

• Delivery or collection: Depending on where you live, you can have the iPhone delivered to your address by Apple or buy it in an Apple Store. You also have the option of ordering the smartphone online and collecting it from the Apple Store. This reduces waiting times in the store

iPhone 16 Pro: Technical innovations

The new iPhone 16 Pro was introduced as part of the iPhone 16 models, which also includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The flagship is available in four different colors, including the new “Titanium Desert Sand” casing, and features several technical innovations compared to its predecessor, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro.

• Larger display: Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have changed dimensions, including a larger Super Retina XDR dis­play. At 149.6 x 71.5 x 8.25 mm and 199 g and 163 x 77.6 x 8.25 mm and 227 g respectively, they are slightly larger but easy to handle.

• Better performance: The models have an integrated Apple A18 Pro chip. The faster new 6-core GPU ensures high-quality graphics, even when gaming. Users also benefit from faster USB 3 speeds, among other things.

• Powerful camera: The 48 MP Fusion camera on the Pro models is new for smartphones. Thanks to the more efficient quad pixel sensor for 4K 120 fps video recording in Dolby Vision, they offer the highest resolution and frame rate to date.

• In addition, they have a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle camera for photos in higher resolution as well as macro shots and a 5x telephoto camera.

• Realistic audio quality: The Pro models have integrated studio-quality microphones for lifelike sounding recordings.
