While Apple is currently promoting the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, the rumour mill is buzzing about the release date and price of the iPhone 13.Since Apple has dispensed with the S variant in the past two generations, the new scion from the house of Apple will probably be called iPhone 13.
- Apple usually releases new devices in the autumn. Therefore, the iPhone 13 can be expected in autumn 2021.
- Around September 2021, the run on variants like iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will start.
- Possibly an iPhone SE 3 will also be released.
- By the way, according to a survey by Sell Cell, customers would only be 18 percent deterred from buying the unlucky number 13.
Appearance and technical details of the iPhone 13
Little is known so far, of course, although leaks have already surfaced on the internet. However, the last devices still look quite similar, apart from the colours, which have become more varied again in the recent past. Technically, the usual suspects like memory, camera or processor are certainly interesting.
- After years of predominantly silver, grey, rose and black, Apple has added other colours to the palette in recent years.
- The flagships will retain three cameras, but they could be arranged minimally differently. Technical details are still missing, however.
- The display could be an LTPO display, which is more power-efficient than conventional OLED displays due to dynamic frame rates between 10 and 120 hertz.
- The iPhone 13 will be equipped with the new processor generation, which bears the serial number 15. Presumably this is more powerful and power efficient than the version 14 bionic from the iPhone 12.
- The device is likely to get a bit thicker, although early drawings suggest the cameras will stick out further.
- In addition to 5G, the iPhone 13 will also be capable of WiFi 6 at 6 gigahertz.
- In the iPhone 13, the 128, 256 and 512 gigabyte storage variants will probably be joined by 1 terabyte for the first time.
