iPad does not sync with iCloud – what can you do?

by Johannes

If your iPad no longer synchronizes with iCloud, this can have several causes. We will show you how to solve the problem.

iPad: Synchronisation with iCloud does not work

  • First, turn all your iOS devices completely off and on again. This will clear any small errors in the cache.
  • Check if you are on a Wi-Fi network and if it is working. Open any web page for testing.
  • Open the “Settings” app on your iPad and select the “iCloud” category there. Deactivate the function that is no longer synchronized and then switch it on again.
  • If this does not help either, tap the “Logout” button at the bottom of the menu. If you then log in to your account again, synchronization will take place again.
  • If possible, disconnect your router from the power supply and wait a moment. Turn it back on and connect to the Wi-Fi again. If none of this helped, iCloud may be down. Open the following Apple website to check the current system status of iCloud.
