If you have forgotten your Apple account ID, your options for using the App Store, for example, will be limited.
Forgot your Apple account: How to find your ID
It may happen that you no longer remember your Apple account ID. Fortunately, there are several ways to get this information:
- If you are using an iPhone or iPad and you are already logged in, go to Settings and tap on your name. You can find your phone numbers and email addresses, which work as your Apple Account ID, under Registration & Security.
- This is also possible on a Mac or MacBook. You will find the same option in the system settings.
- Even on Windows, it is possible to find out your Apple account ID as long as you are logged into your iCloud. Click on your name to find your ID.
- Furthermore, it is possible to check your Apple Account ID via the Messages app, the App Store or FaceTime. Of course, this is only possible if you are still logged in.
- Alternatively, you can check your stored password and login data in your browser. There, search for pages like Apple Account. The stored email address is your ID.
- Note: Once you have retrieved your Amazon account ID, it is recommended that you change your password. This ensures that no one else has access to your ID.
Forgot your Apple account ID: Family Sharing can help
It is also possible to find your Apple Account ID via Apple Family Sharing:
- To do this, contact one of your family members who shares the Family Sharing group with you. Go to the Family Sharing settings.
- Within Settings, you’ll find all family members who belong to the sharing group. Search for your account.
- You’ll find the Apple account information there. Check it to log in again.
