You don’t need an iPhone to create an Apple ID. You can use almost any internet-enabled device for this purpose.
To create an Apple ID without an iPhone
An Apple ID gives you access to various Apple services. These include the App Store or the iCloud. This makes sense especially if you also use an Apple device such as an iPhone – but it is not mandatory. You can easily create your Apple ID in the browser:
- Go to the “Create your Apple ID” web page in your web browser.
- Fill out the form completely. Enter your first name, last name, country and date of birth, your e-mail address and a password.
- You must also enter a valid telephone number. You will need this later to verify your identity. Indicate whether you want to make confirmations via text message or phone call.
- Then follow the further instructions to create your Apple ID.
