250
Everyone has probably heard the term “sum of digits” – but many people have forgotten exactly what a sum of digits is since their school days. We will enlighten you
Cross sum: What exactly is it?
- The checksum is the sum of the individual digits of a multi-digit number.
- Example: The sum of the digits of 251 is 8, since 2 + 5 + 1 = 8.
- A sum of digits can only be formed from natural numbers. The number must therefore be greater than zero and must not contain a decimal place.
