Sky Go is available on both Apple mobile devices and Macs. This allows you to enjoy numerous movies or various sports programs from the pay-TV channel.
Watching Sky Go on your Mac
The Sky Go program can no longer be received in the browser. To access Sky Go from your Apple Mac, you now need the Sky Go app.
- To register in the Sky Go app, have your customer number and PIN ready. You can find these in your Sky documents. Alternatively, you can also use your email address to register instead of your customer number.
- First, start your browser on your Mac and download the Sky Go app for Mac.
- The Sky Go installer zip file is stored in “Downloads”. This can be seen at the bottom of the screen.
- Open the downloaded “SkyGoInstaller.zip” file to unzip it. You will then find the SkyGoInstaller in the folder. Start the installer and Sky Go will be installed on your Mac in a few seconds.
- You will find the installed Sky Go app in the Applications folder. You can now log in to the app with your data.
- In the app, you can choose a category that is included in your package: on the left side of the app, you will find various categories such as “Sports” or “Movies”.
What to do if the installation does not start
If the Sky Go app cannot be installed on your Mac or the application does not start, you can use Rosetta to get around the problem.
- Rosetta is an Apple framework for the transparent emulation of programs. Simply install Rosetta on your Mac.
- To do this, first open Finder and then go to the “Applications” tab.
- Right-click on the Safari icon and go to “Get Info”. Under “General”, check the box next to “Open with Rosetta”.
- Now open the Safari browser, whereupon you will be asked if you want to install Rosetta. Click “Yes” and carry out the installation.
- After that, you can install or open the Sky Go app as normal.
