You can also use Microsoft Copilot in WhatsApp. This means you no longer need a separate app to use the AI assistant on your smartphone.
Microsoft Copilot in WhatsApp: How to use the assistant
More and more digital services are using artificial intelligence. Microsoft also offers its own AI assistant, Microsoft Copilot. You can also use this directly in WhatsApp. To do this, you must first add Copilot as a contact.
- To do that, go to the Microsoft Copilot website. Tap “shortlink” here to add the assistant directly to WhatsApp.
- Alternatively, you can also scan the QR code on the website. To do this, open WhatsApp and tap the plus sign at the bottom right. Then click on the QR code symbol next to “New contact” and scan the code.
- If that doesn’t work, you can enter the assistant’s number manually. To do that, tap the plus sign in the bottom right of WhatsApp and select “New Contact”. Then enter the following number: +1 877-224-1042.
- If you are in the Microsoft Copilot WhatsApp chat, send the pre-formulated welcome message. Then accept the terms of use by clicking the “I agree” button.
- Setup is now complete and you can use Microsoft Copilot.
These are the functions offered by Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot has exactly the same functions in WhatsApp as it does on Windows 11 or in the smartphone app.
- You can use the assistant to search for specific information. It’s handy that Microsoft Copilot is linked to Bing search and therefore also has access to real-time information.
- In addition, artificial intelligence is helpful for generating, analyzing, or summarizing texts. It is also possible to create AI images in WhatsApp Copilot.
- You can also send images to the assistant yourself and ask it to describe them, for example. Voice messages and text documents, on the other hand, are not yet supported by Microsoft Copilot.
