If you use Google Bard, you are now using Gemini. The AI has been given a new name. Gemini has similar functions to ChatGPT.
Use Gemini (Google Bard): How the KI works
Gemini (formerly Google Bard) is a large language model based on the AI LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications). Similar to ChatGPT, you can communicate with the chatbot via dialog. This gives you access to complex information and different facts.
- Properties: Google’s AI initiative comprises three parts: the chatbot called Gemini, new AI functions in Google Search and the provision of programming interfaces (APIs) with which AI applications can be developed. The AI-driven language model LaMDA plays a central role. Bard is based on a variant of the AI language model
- Difference to ChatGPT: This lies primarily in the up-to-dateness. ChatGPT 3.0 was fed with information until mid-2021. Google Gemini should be able to access up-to-date information from the web right from the start
- Development: There has already been criticism in the past that artificial intelligence could be misused. Google has allowed its voice software to be used internally by employees in recent years, but has shied away from a broad market launch due to the risks involved.
What Gemini can do (Google Bard)
Google Gemini AI is a large language model that has been trained with a huge amount of text and code. You can generate text, translate languages, write different types of creative content and answer questions informatively.
- To answer questions, Gemini AI uses data to understand the meaning of the question. Gemini then searches the data set for information that is relevant. This information is processed to generate an answer that is both accurate and informative.
- Google Gemini AI is constantly learning and improving, so the outputs will probably become more and more correct over time. However, you should still be careful about what data you make available to Google Gemini AI
