Translating a Chrome page: This is how it works

by Pramith

If you have opened a foreign language page with Chrome, you can have it translated very easily. The necessary tools for this are directly available to you in Google Chrome and make your everyday life easier.

Chrome page: how to translate it

A Google Chrome page automatically shows you the Translate function when you open a foreign language website. Translate it in the following way:

  • Open a foreign language website with Google Chrome.
  • Google will show you an icon in the address bar that forms a dark background G and a Chinese character. The symbol means “translate”.
  • Click on the translate symbol. The website will then be translated.
  • Tip: If you want to get the most accurate translation of the website, a tool such as DeepL will help you. You can find this via the settings of Google Chrome’s add-ons. As soon as you install it, the application will show you that you can also translate a website directly with DeepL.
