We show you what the PayPal limit is and how to set and remove it. This will allow you to enjoy unlimited shopping pleasure.
This is the PayPal limit
For the protection of users, (PayPal) has the so-called send and debit limit as long as the own bank account has not been confirmed.
- The transfer limit is 2,500 euros. For amounts above this, it is not possible to transfer without verification of the bank account.
- PayPal reserves the right to check higher amounts first, even after verification of a bank account.
How to cancel the sending and debiting limit
Once you have entered your bank account, you can verify it. This will remove your send and debit limit. However, for security reasons, you should only remove your limit when you really need to do so.
- First go to PayPal’s website and log in with your user details.
- To remove the limit, you will need to link either a credit card or bank account to your PayPal account.
- Click on “E-exchange” in the top menu bar. Here you can link one of the two options via the links “Add bank account” or “Add credit card”.
- Once you have entered the details, the bank account or credit card still needs to be verified. To do this, PayPal transfers a small amount to the account. For verification, you need the four-digit code that you will find in the reason for payment of the bank transfer.
- As soon as the amount has been received, log back into PayPal and switch to “E-exchange” again. Here, call up the specified bank account or credit card. Enter the code and the limit will be cancelled.
