With DHL, you can send and receive parcels to and from Packstations. We’ll show you how the system works and how to register.
Send to a Packstation: Register to receive parcels
To receive parcels at a Packstation, you need a free customer account with DHL.
- To create one, you need to register with DHL via their website.
- Enter all the data correctly. At the end of the registration process, select the “Packstation” option and enter your date of birth and mobile phone number. Confirm by clicking on “Complete registration”.
- Then download the “Post & DHL” app. The app is available for iOS and Android and has been a requirement for using the Packstation since April 2022.
- Log into your account in the app and click on the “Activate” button.
- Before you can use the Packstation service, your data must be verified. If you have a DHL customer card, you can scan the barcode on the card to do this. If you don’t have a customer card, you can verify yourself using the PostIdent procedure. Alternatively, you can have an activation code sent to you by letter.
- Select one of the options to complete the activation. You can then use the “Packstation” tab to see all the shipments available in the Packstation.
- If you want to pick up a shipment, you can only do so via the app with newer Packstations. To do this, select the respective shipment and follow the instructions in the app. With older Packstations, you can use a pick-up code to pick up the shipment, which is displayed in the app.
Send a parcel to a Packstation: This is how you do it
If you would like to send a parcel to a Packstation, please note the minimum size of 15 x 11 x 1 cm and maximum size of 75 x 60 x 40 cm for parcels.
- To send a parcel to a Packstation, you need the recipient’s name and postal number, as well as the Packstation number, location and postcode.
- Enter the recipient’s name in the first address line as usual. The postal number follows as an additional address note in the second line. This can be found in the recipient’s DHL account.
- In the third line, replace the street with the word “Packstation” and enter the corresponding Packstation number instead of the house number, for example “Packstation 107”.
- The last line contains the postcode and the location of the packing station as usual.
- The recipient receives a notification in the Post & DHL app as soon as the parcel has arrived and can pick it up via the app.
