- Johnny Sins was born on December 31, 1978 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At 1.83 m tall and weighing 79 kilos, Sins’ real name is Steven Wolfe.

- A friend advised Sins at the age of 21 that he should move to Los Angeles to be cast for porn shoots. However, he did not do this immediately
- Johnny Sins worked for a construction company for seven years. It wasn’t until 2006 that he quit there and moved to Los Angeles.
- In 2006, at the age of 28, he landed his first roles in the porn industry and hit the ground running.

- In 2015, Johnny Sins founded his own porn video channel on YouTube with his partner at the time, Kissa Sins, and thus also became a web producer. He quickly amassed 1.59 million followers there. As of 2024, Sins had 2 million followers on YouTube and his videos had been viewed over 100 million times
- In 2018, the female viewers of the “Pornhub” platform voted Sins the most popular male porn actor.
- Sins received 8 nominations for the AVN Award (film prize of the American film industry). He won the trophy three times. He won the Pornhub Award twice
