If your Instagram reel is longer than 90 seconds, there is a trick you can use to upload the video anyway. If you observe all the settings, it may well work
Instagram reel longer than 90 seconds: What you can do
If you want to upload a video to Instagram that lasts longer than 90 seconds, you need to work around the settings a little. You must upload the video as a feed and not as a reel.
- If your video lasts three minutes, you must upload it to Instagram as a reel. These must be at least 60 seconds long in the app
- You can upload your video in IGTV format if it is longer than ten minutes, for example. If you are holding a webinar, i.e. a live recording, the video can be up to four hours long.
- Some Instagram accounts have the option of posting a reel that is a maximum of 1.5 minutes long.
How to post a reel on Instagram
To post a reel, open the app and tap the plus symbol.
- Go to the bottom and activate the reel function by tapping on the small circle on the left.
- You will now see a menu on the left. Here you have the option of setting the length of your reel. Select 15, 30, 60 or 90
- Tap the large circle at the bottom center to start recording. You can pause the video if you like. The individual parts are then joined together to form a complete video
