Instagram: Inserting a link in a Story – this is how it works

Until a while ago, only users with a certain reach were able to insert a link in their Story on Instagram. But now this function is available to everyone.

If you want to share content with your followers and draw their attention to a specific website, you can add a suitable link to your story. The easiest way to do this is to use the link sticker. If you have integrated this into your story, your followers will be forwarded directly to the linked page when they tap on it:

• Open Instagram and add new content via the Plus icon ☻ Story.

• Now select the sticker tool from the navigation bar at the top.

• Now you have several options at your disposal. You can use a hashtag, insert your location or share music, polls and co. via story.

• Here you will also find the link sticker. Tap it.

• Now insert your link. Ideally, you have previously copied the address of the desired page.

• Now you can place the sticker in your story. You can tap and hold it to move it or tap it to change the colour of the sticker.
