Changing the background on your Tumblr blog can make a big visual difference. You can change the color in just a few steps in the settings.
Changing your Tumblr background: How to do it on the web
Changing your Tumblr background is easy and involves the following steps:
- Visit your Tumblr blog’s website.
- Click on “Account” in the left-hand column and select the desired blog.
- A sidebar with various functions will now open on the right. Click on “Blog Settings”.
- Now you can see how your blog appears to others. To change the background, click on “Edit appearance” at the top.
- In the center, you’ll see the colors you’ve set as your accent and background colors. Select “Background” to change the color of your background.
Change your Tumblr background in the app
Changing your background is even easier on the app:
- Open the Tumblr app on your mobile device.
- Click on your profile in the far-right toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- A new toolbar will appear in the upper right corner. Select the color palette icon here.
- Now you can click on “Background” again to change the background of your Tumblr blog.
