Firefox: Surf anonymously with private mode

In private Firefox mode, pages visited, search entries, form data, cookies, temporary Internet files and your download history are not saved. You use it as follows:

  • Open the browser and navigate to the application menu with your mouse. You can recognize this by the three horizontal lines:
  • Click to open it. Now select the New private window option from the drop-down menu. It will open directly, recognizable by the Firefox anonymous icon.
  • It is also possible to open a new private window using the key combination [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[P]. You can execute this directly in the browser.
  • Alternatively, you can open a hyperlink directly in private mode by right-clicking on it. To do this, select Open link in new private window from the context menu.
  • Attention: Created bookmarks and downloaded files are retained even after exiting private mode. This also applies to the cache.
