You can permanently save your purchase requests in an Amazon shopping list. These lists are very easy to create, find and edit.
Create an Amazon shopping list
The shopping lists on Amazon are now called “shopping lists”. Creating a shopping list is very practical because it allows you, the customer, to keep track of your purchase requests. Of course, you must first create at least one list before you can find and edit an Amazon shopping list. You can create such shopping lists via product pages, in the browser, in the Amazon app and with Alexa.
- About product pages: When viewing Amazon offers, you will find the “Add to list” drop-down menu on the far right of each individual item. After clicking on the down arrow, you can select an existing shopping list or create new lists yourself.
- In the browser: After logging in to Amazon, click on the “Account and Lists” button on the home page. There, select the commands “My Lists” and then “Create New List”. After clicking the “Create” button, the new shopping list appears.
- In the Amazon app: First, open the app and tap the person icon in the bottom left corner. Then select “My Lists” and then “Create New List”.
- With Alexa: With Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa, all you have to do is say, “Alexa, create a new shopping list”.
Find Amazon wish lists
Your wish lists or shopping lists are a bit hidden, but can be found in the shopping cart, on the website or in the mobile app as follows:
- In the shopping cart: After logging in to Amazon, click on the shopping cart in the top right corner of the home page. All items currently in the shopping cart are listed there. At the bottom of this page, after the heading “Saved for later”, you will find all items previously collected in shopping lists.
- On the website: After logging in, tap the “Account and Lists” button in the upper right corner of the home page. This will take you to the standard shopping list called “Shopping List” and to the lists you have created yourself. These have the names “Shopping List 1”, “Shopping List 2”, etc. or the names you have typed in.
- Mobile App: First, you need to open the Amazon app and sign in. Then, click on the menu icon with the three horizontal lines in the lower right corner and select the “My Lists” button from the options there.
Edit Amazon Wish List
Even if you don’t yet know exactly how Amazon works, you can edit each individual item in your wish lists or shopping lists as follows.
- Add to cart: Clicking on this large button of the same name adds the selected item to the shopping cart. From there, the new yellow button “Proceed to checkout” will take you through the rest of the checkout process for all the items in your cart.
- Move: This drop-down menu is located directly to the left under the large yellow “Add to Cart” button. In this menu, you can move the selected item to another shopping list.
- Trash can: If you click on the trash can icon to the far right, the selected item will be deleted.
- By the way: To remove all items from your shopping lists or your shopping cart, you can do this step by step and should therefore not immediately delete your entire Amazon account.
