For a long time, users have wanted FaceTime for Android and Windows. Until now, however, this has not been possible. However, there is now a way to connect to FaceTime via a link. We show you how this works.
How FaceTime works for Android and Windows
For a long time, users have wanted FaceTime for Android and Windows and now it is possible. However, not via an app, as it would be easy. Apple has chosen a different path here.
A user with iOS 15 on an Apple device can share a link.
- This link is then sent to participants, similar to Zoom.
- Afterwards, the invitees can join the FaceTime video call.
- Questionable why Apple chose this route and not an app.
- Of course, this is precisely why FaceTime could be interesting for Android or Windows, because nothing has to be installed.
