Facebook account blocked: Why and how is it unblocked?
If you receive a message that your account has been blocked when you try to log in to Facebook, there may be various reasons for this.
- Breaking the rules: The most common reason why accounts are blocked are rule violations. If you have already been warned by Facebook because of advertising, harassment or public racist statements, it is now relatively likely that such a reason has led to your account being blocked. You will receive an email telling you how long your account will be blocked. This is usually for one month
- Hacking: If your account has been hacked and Facebook finds out, your account will also be blocked. You will then receive an email with information on how to unblock your account.
- Unjustified: If you think that your account has been blocked without a justified reason, you can contact Facebook via the help section or support and describe your concerns. Such errors still occur occasionally.
