Delete your PayPal account: The instructions
You can get rid of your PayPal account in just a few steps. If you still have a balance, you can transfer it to your bank account after logging in.
- Open the PayPal website and click on the “Log in” button in the top right-hand corner.
- Once you have gained access to your account, click on the cogwheel icon in the top right-hand corner again.
- At the bottom left you will find the option “Close account”. Select this option.
- You will then be asked whether you really want to close your account. Click on “Next”.
- Select a reason for closing the account, optionally enter a comment on your decision and click “Next” again.
- Now comes the last query. If you confirm this again by clicking on “Next”, your PayPal account will be deleted.
