Delete Google Calendar: Here’s How

by Pramith

Sometimes it’s necessary to delete your Google Calendar, especially if you accumulate old appointments or unnecessary calendars.

How to delete a Google Calendar

There are several ways to delete a Google Calendar. In your account, you can do this with just a few clicks.

  • First, open Google Calendar on your computer (preferably via your browser).
  • On the left side of the page, you will see a list of your calendars.
  • Find the calendar you want to delete and click on the three dots next to it.
  • Select “Settings and Sharing”.
  • Scroll down until you see the option “Delete calendar”.
  • Confirm your selection by clicking on “Delete permanently”. The calendar will now be permanently removed.

How to hide or unsubscribe from Google Calendars

Calendars don’t always have to be completely deleted. In some cases, you may just want to hide or unsubscribe from a calendar.

  • Go to the calendar overview in the sidebar again.
  • If you only want to hide the calendar, simply click on the box next to the calendar name to make it disappear from the overview.
  • To remove a subscribed calendar, select the three dots next to the calendar name, go to “Settings and Sharing” and click “Unsubscribe”.
