To open an account with Comdirect, you must have your identity confirmed via Video Ident if you do not use the Post-Ident procedure
Comdirect Video Ident: This is what you need
Once you have opened an account with Comdirect, you must confirm your identity for security reasons. This can be done by Post Ident, E-Ident or Video Ident.
- To identify yourself conveniently from home, you need a valid identity card or your passport. This will be used to verify your identity
- You will also need your smartphone, a stable internet connection and the Comdirect app.
- Make sure you have your privacy and make sure that the room in which you carry out the identity verification is sufficiently lit. Identification often does not work in poor lighting conditions.
Comdirect: This is how the Video-Ident procedure works
At Comdirect, you can reach the staff every day between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. to start the Video-Ident process.
- Open the Comdirect app and have your ID card or passport ready to get started right away
- Go to “VideoIdent” and select the reason for the identity verification.
- It will take a few seconds, then you will be connected to a member of staff.
- The employee will greet you and then ask you to hold your ID card up to the camera.
- You will be asked to tilt the ID card and partially cover it so that the employee can also recognize hidden holograms on the ID card. You will also be asked to read out the ID number
- Finally, you will be sent a TAN, which you enter and send back to Comdirect.
- After about five minutes, the process is complete.
