You can calculate your available Weight Watchers points yourself. The number of points is based on various factors
Calculate Weight Watchers points: Instructions
If you want to calculate your Weight Watchers points, proceed as follows:
- The basis of your available points is determined by your gender, or more precisely the gender assigned to you. As a woman you start with seven points, while as a man you have 15 available
- Next comes the age: 18 to 20 years (five points), 21 to 35 years (four points), 36 to 50 years (three points), 51 to 65 years (two points) and from 66 years (one point). Add the value to your base
- Your height also affects the calculation. If you are shorter than 160 centimeters, add one point. If you are taller than 160 centimeters, add two points.
- Your current body weight is just as important. The points are calculated by adding a tenth of your weight. For example, if you weigh 80 kilograms, add eight points
- Next come the movement points. If you hardly move at all, add no points. If you don’t move much, you get two points. A lot of movement rewards you with four points and if you move a lot every day, you even get six points.
- Finally, add four points if you want to maintain your current weight. If you want to lose weight instead, do not add any more points. You have now calculated your Weight Watchers points
- Tip: You can obtain the points for the individual foods via the WW app. It replaces the classic points table of the weight loss program.
