Those who enjoy an Amazon Prime membership can share this with other people in the household. However, there are restrictions. Find out what these are and how to invite people in this practical tip.
Sharing Amazon Prime – Instructions
If you use a normal Prime subscription, you can share the shipping benefits with household members. Other benefits, such as using Prime Video or Prime Music, are not available
- Hover your mouse over the “Account and Lists” button and click on “My Prime Membership”. There, click on “Manage Amazon Prime Membership”.
- Now you can click on “Share Prime benefits”. Now all you have to do is enter the name and email address of the person you want to share the shipping benefits with. Once the person accepts the email invitation, they will benefit from free shipping.
- At the same point, you can also delete a person who shares your Prime benefits.
- People who became Amazon Prime customers after 2017 can invite one person. Only existing customers from before 08 November 2017 can share shipping benefits with up to four people in their household.
- Good to know: If you are using a trial membership of Amazon Student or Amazon Family benefits, unfortunately you cannot share this Prime membership. This also applies if you purchased the Amazon Prime membership through a third party provider.
