Amazon Echo: Update for Alexa – here’s how

To ensure that your Amazon Echo is always up to date, we show you how to update Alexa.

Update for Amazon Echo – here’s how

To ensure that your Amazon Echo always has the latest software, all you need is an existing Wi-Fi connection between the device and your router.

  • Amazon always automatically provides each Echo device (Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Dot and Echo Show) with the latest device software.
  • If this is not the case, disconnect the power plug from the device for a few seconds and then reconnect it to the Amazon Echo. Alexa will then tell you that an update is being performed.

    • Here you can find out about current software updates for Alexa devices on the manufacturer’s homepage.
