Adobe Reader: Saving individual pages – this is how

by Pramith

If you want to save individual pages with Adobe Reader, you will quickly run into a problem: this function does not exist. We show how you can still obtain individual PDF pages.

Adobe Reader: Saving individual pages

With the free Adobe Acrobat Reader you cannot directly save individual pages from extensive PDF documents. For this, you need the paid Pro version. You can get around this restriction by taking a small diversions.

  • To do this, open the desired PDF document in Adobe Reader and click on “File” and “Print”. Alternatively, use the key combination [Ctrl] + [P].

By clicking on “Print”, a new window opens in which you can specify the name and location of the file. Confirm with “Save”.

Now you can call up the file in the Explorer under the path you have set.

Save individual pages of a PDF with Google Chrome

If you do not have the entry “Microsoft Print to PDF”, you can also extract individual pages from a PDF file using any browser such as Google Chrome.

  • To do this, open the PDF document in the browser. To do this, simply drag and drop the document into the window.
  • Click on the printer icon in the top right-hand corner.
  • Under the menu item “Destination” select “Save as PDF”. Under “Pages” click on “Custom” and enter which page you want to save individually.
  • Click on “Save” and select a new file name and location. Your single page PDF will then be created.
