Thermomix: This is the typical power consumption

by Michaela

How high the power consumption of a Thermomix is depends, among other things, on the model you own. In addition, the programme you use also plays a role.

Thermomix – this is how much electricity it consumes

The different Thermomix models are equipped with different functions.

  • For example, there is no stand-by mode on the Thermomix TM5.
  • If the appliance is switched off, no power is consumed – regardless of whether you leave the plug in the socket or not.
  • Other models, such as the Thermomix TM31, have a stand-by mode.
  • This mode also consumes power when you are not using the food processor – a power consumption of 0.8 watts.
  • The power consumption of a Thermomix in operation depends on what you are currently doing with the food processor. The motor has a power of 500 watts and the appliance has a heating power of 1,000 watts.
  • For example, the Thermomix TM 31 consumes 3.2 watts when you weigh ingredients. If you chop ingredients without the cooking function, around 250 watts of power are required.
  • Unfortunately, there is no comprehensive answer to the question of how high the power consumption of a Thermomix is.
