Water can also be saved in the toilet. A few effective tricks will help you not to use too much water
Saving water: How to do it in the toilet
A flush at the toilet uses a lot of water. However, it is usually not necessary. Therefore, it can be saved with the following tricks.
- Use the water-saving button: Use the water-saving button (smaller flush button) as often as possible. You do not need the normal button most of the time, as it uses too much unnecessary water. This is usually sufficient, especially for small businesses.
- Press the stop button: Always press the stop button when you think the flush cycle is using too much water and all the waste has been flushed away.
- Rinsing Stones: Hang flush stones in the toilet to keep it smelling pleasant.
- Plastic bottle: Fill a plastic bottle with water. Place it in the cistern of your toilet. The bottle will push the water up and the cistern will be filled with less water after each flush.
- No waste bin: Really only go to the toilet. Do not use the toilet as a waste bin. Do not dispose of tablets, toilet paper with which you have mopped the floor or similar in the toilet, but in the residual waste. You should also not do this as the toilet could become clogged.
