Bosch Washing Machine: How to fix the F21 error.

by Johannes

If your Bosch washing machine displays error F21, this is a sign of a problem with the machine’s motor. Read here what to look out for then

How to fix error F21 of the Bosch washing machine

If your Bosch washing machine displays error code F21, this indicates possible damage to your machine’s motor. The motor carbons may be worn out or there may be no connection to the motor control. Both are common faults in washing machines.

  • To reset the control module, you must follow a few steps. First, turn the switch to the off position and close the door of the washing machine.
  • Position the knob vertically downwards so that it is in the “6 o’clock” position.
  • Now move the switch left and right for a few seconds until the light flashes to “Start/Pause”.
  • Follow this by pressing and holding the centrifugal button. Meanwhile, turn the switch to the “7 o’clock” position.
  • After waiting a few seconds, release the knob and move the switch to the “off” position.
  • This should complete the reset. If this did not work, repeat the process, the machine may not have responded yet.
  • If this does not help either, you will probably have to take the washing machine in for repair. The worn motor carbons need to be replaced.
